To plan this program, I first placed a request for the funds required to buy supplies including nails, wood and colorful string. Then I compared prices at the different stores where supplies were available to find the best pricing and bought the supplies. A week in advance of my program, I booked the room that would best fit the number of residents I expected and ensured I had everything I needed. Before the program, I emailed my residents instructions on how to print a template for the image they wanted their art to be and reminded them of the time and location for the event.
I publicized my program through a flier (linked above), email, word of mouth and my weekly newsletter to my residents the two weeks prior to my program.
